Guided Walking Tour: Explore the Scotney Estate
Join one of our estate guides on a tour around Scotney's woods and parklands to see seasonal flora and fauna and learn about the history of Scotney. This tour is included in your entry to Scotney.

Learn about Scotney's 780 acres of historic parkland and woodland, with its veteran trees, grand vistas and native rare breed cattle. A site of special scientific interest, the estate is home to rare plant, animal and insect life. Walks depart daily at 11.30am.

Yes, but be aware the walks last 90 minutes and are not buggy accessible
- Meeting point
Meet by the white Salvin gate near the main visitor entrance.
- What to bring and wear
Comfortable sturdy footwear - particularly early and late on in the season when the ground can be very wet and muddy.
- Accessibility
Predominantly grass footpaths and uneven terrain. Parts of the route are not accessible for wheelchairs or buggies. Ground can be very soft underfoot at the start and end of the season.
- Other
These estate walks are led by our volunteer guides. They are scheduled to run every day, but occasionally we do have to cancel a walk due to absence. This can sometimes be at short notice. If you are planning to visit especially for the guided estate walk we suggest you call before you set off on the day on 01892 893820. Occasionally there may be a second walk at 2pm - please ask at Visitor Entrance to see if this is running. Dogs are welcome on a short lead.
